Ryan Gosling's “Ghost Rider” has received a release date of July 28, 2028, becoming the third Marvel Studios film scheduled to arrive that year.

The release date was among several updates announced by Disney following its fan event D23, which took place this past weekend. The 2028 Marvel calendar already includes “X-Men” on May 5 and “Black Panther 3” on December 15.

An untitled Marvel film is also scheduled for November 9, 2029, after previously being listed only as an untitled Disney release.

Gosling's involvement as the Spirit of Vengeance was announced in July at Comic-Con. The film will be directed by Shawn Levy, with a screenplay by Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote “Star Wars: Starfighter”.

The actor takes over the role previously portrayed by Nicolas Cage, who played the motorcycle-riding character in two Sony-produced “Ghost Rider” films.

Alongside Marvel updates, Disney also revealed new release dates for several other projects.

Pixar's animated film “Ghost Market” will hit theatres on March 10, 2028. Inspired by Asian myths about shops where the living and the dead interact, the project was initially developed as a streaming series before being moved to a theatrical release.

“Coco 2” is scheduled for November 21, 2029. During D23, audiences received a first look at protagonist Miguel, who is now a teenager. Benjamin Bratt will return to voice Ernesto de la Cruz.

Disney's live-action adaptation of “Tangled” is set for release on March 31, 2028, while the animated film “Clay” will arrive on November 22, 2028.

Searchlight's horror film “Monitor” has also moved its release date forward, from April 30, 2027, to April 16. Directed by Matt Black and Ryan Polly, the film follows a demonic entity targeting message board moderators.
