Today marks the birthday of Bidya Sinha Mim, one of the leading actresses of Bangla films. Last night, she returned home at 12:20 am, with no clue that she would be surprised by her friends and family.

Fresh off the triumph of her first case in her 2020 Netflix hit, 16-year-old Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown), a sleuth the equal of famous big brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill), is hired to find a missing match factory girl.

The closing ceremony of the International Inter-University Short-Film (IIUSF) festival took place on November 8 at Star Cineplex, Bashundhara City. The festival is organised by Dhaka University Film Society.

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan returned to the shooting of his unfinished film "Agun", directed by Badiul Alam Khokon, a filmmaker with whom the actor previously teamed up for numerous hits. The shooting of the film started on November 5 at Gazipur’s Shohagpolli. The lead actors of the film, Shakib Khan and Zahara Mitu, were seen in some photos from the shooting set. 

Shark Tank India, the business reality show that gained success with its first season, is returning for season two, and the promo was unveiled last Tuesday. The channel has not yet revealed the premiere date for Shark Tank India season two, but according to sources, it could air this year in late November or early December.

Prasanta Adhikary’s government-granted, detective-film, “Hudsoner Bonduk” will finally see its release on December 2. The movie had originally received a grant from the government in 2012-2013 fiscal year.

On Wednesday morning, singer Akbar Ali Gazi was taken to Birdem Hospital, where he was put on life support. The singer had been in the ICU since last Saturday.
