Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman's directorial debut film "Le Musk" is all set for its world premiere at the Cannes Film Market's Cannes XR program.

The 36-minute film follows the life of a musician named Juliet Merdinian, who 20 years since she was orphaned, seeks to find the men who changed her fate with one powerful memory- that of their scent.

AR Rahman created the movie inspired by his wife Saira's love for perfume. The noted composer wanted to employ sent as a narrative device in the virtual reality film.

Nora Arnezeder ("Army of the Dead") and Guy Burnet ("Oppenheimer") play the main roles in "Le Musk."

Cannes XR is a program from the Cannes Film Market which highlights works that incorporate advanced technological and high-quality cinematographic content.
