Azizur Rahman’s belongings handed over to Bangladesh Film Archive
Multiple awards and crests, including the National Awards given to "Chhutir Ghonta" famed director Azizur Rahman were handed over to Bangladesh Film Archive today. Three books, one on him and the other two authored by him, and the manuscripts of his directorial ventures were also given.
With films like "Ashikkhito", "Matir Ghar", Azizur Rahman has 54 evergreen silver-screen hits to his credit.
Aliya Rahman Bindi, the only daughter of director Azizur Rahman, handed over her father's belongings to Md Nizamul Kabir, Director, Bangladesh Film Archive. Film Officer Md Fakhrul Alam was also present at the event.
"Everyone is aware of my father's devotion and affection for films. I am glad that I was able ot deliver some of his belongings from his journey to the Bangladesh Film Archive," said Aliya Rahman Bindi who had appeared as a child artiste on the silver screen.
Aliya had also received a National Award for her performance in the Matin Rahman directorial film "Lal Kajol" in 1982.
