Farooki receives South Asian Film Festival Award

Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has been honoured with the Chicago South Asian Film Festival Award 2022.

The director posted the pictures and a video, sharing a few words about this feeling, on his verified Facebook profile. The post reads, "Thank you, Chicago South Asian Film Festival for honoring me with this year's South Asian Film Award. Good to see some of my favorite people have won this award in the past!" Farooki is attending the festival at the moment, and received the award physically.

He also wrote, "I feel humbled. I feel like my journey has just started and I have a long way to go!"
