Rumours of Hanif Sanket's are rife on social media.   Concocted stories of his 'demise' in a "road accident" have been circulating since Tuesday night, which have left his family and fans in a state of anger.

However, the legendary anchor is doing perfectly well, describing these rumours as 'appalling'.

Hanif Sanket told  The Daily Star on Wednesday morning, "It is indeed very sad that people spread such news. I am fine and healthy. In fact, I am going to my office right now."

"A few days ago, such news was spread  through a TikTok video," he said, "I didn't care  then.  I did not think it would come this far!"
