“I am not the kind of actress who hides pregnancy or gets caught with drugs”

Ananta Jalil's film "Din: The Day" has been released on the occasion of Eid ul-Azha. The actor's wife, Barsha, plays a lead role in the film.

The BDT 100 crore film has been released in 107 cinema halls across the country, and the duo have been busy promoting the film ever since its release.

The two stars had gone to Sony Cinema Hall in Mirpur to watch the film on Wednesday evening. Barsha spoke to the reporter there.

Why is Barsha the heroine in all Ananta's films? Responding to such a question from reporters,  the actress said, "What kind of heroine do you like?  Do you like those heroines who hide their pregnancies?   Ones who gets caught with drugs?   There are many heroines who also wear wedding sarees with sponsors.  I'm not a heroine of that grade," she retorted.

She added, "Our film is receiving positive reactions. When it is released outside the country, people will laud it.

"Din-The Day" is directed by Iranian director Murtaza Atashzamzam. Apart from Bangladesh, the film was  shot in  Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan.
