Jada Pinkett Smith speaks up, Chris Rock’s comedy tour ticket sales surge

Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Oscars. Since the controversial incident, Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken up for the first on Instagram,  while Chris Rock's Comedy tour ticket sales surged after the Oscars fiasco.  

Jada posted about 'healing' in an Instagram post. The post read, "This is a season for healing. And I'm here for it." However, the actress refrained from speaking up about Rock's joke or the slapping incident.

 

On the other hand, Comedian Chris Rock's Comedy tour ticket sales surged over the weekend. According to a report by Variety, Chris has sold more tickets overnight than they did in the past month combined. The ticket prices have also quadrupled since the Oscars incident, going up from a minimum of $46 per ticket to a minimum of $341.

Noted actor and comedian. Adam Sandler also promoted the comedian's tour on his Twitter account. While social media remains divided in the debate around the whole slapping incident, it seems the comedian has won the hearts of the audiences, as they are flocking in to see his performance.
