Kim Kardashian cleared of defamation in Blac Chyna’s case
Reality television star Kim Kardashian was found "not guilty" in Blac Chyna's defamation case. The judge stated that Kim didn't make any derogatory comments against the "Doom" singer.
Chyna's lawyer in their defense stated that although Kim didn't directly make any statements against the singer, she still co-signed libelous statements allegedly penned by the Kardashian family.
However, the court ruled out Kim's role in the case by stating that there is "no evidence" to prove that she has a responsible part in the defamation suit.
Although Kim got out of the defamation suit, the Skim founder might still be charged for alleged intentional interference with a contract.
Chyna accused the Kardashians of cancelling a potential second season of her and Rob Kardashian's reality show 'Rob & Chyna" on E. However, Jeff Jenkins, the series' executive producer stated last week that none of the network channels such as BET, VH1, Lifetime, and MTV were interested in taking up the series.
Black Chyna is suing the Kardashians and the Jenners for $100 million for financial loss, including lost profits from social media postings and TV appearances, and mental distress.
