Not uncomfortable about being a ‘sex symbol’: Milind Soman

Arts & Entertainment Desk

Popular Indian actor-model-fitness icon Milind Soman recently spoke about his motivation and gains about staying fit. While many seem to think special exercise routine, diet and expensive medical treatments are essential to maintain a good physique, Milind seems to think otherwise.

He eats simple food just like the others and has always been fit, starting from his childhood when he confided in swimming.

He seems to think that the first step towards being a fitness enthusiast is by ensuring that one is lazy. "The reason why I like to be fit is because I am lazy," he said in a recent interview. He said, he took up fitness training so that it is "easier" for him to deal with challenges and also challenge himself to do better and get over his shortcomings.

Milind, who recently participated in the 5km Lifelong Fight Lazy Run in Delhi that urges people to fight laziness, also said that he has been a sex symbol since the beginning of his career. However, the actor seems to rather term it as his strength rather than complain about it.

"It's a business. If I'm uncomfortable with being a sex symbol, and being objectified, which I have been, right from the beginning from my career, then I shouldn't be here. I was not bothered or uncomfortable with it," shared Milind.

Milind is currently looking forward to more OTT projects and films. However, the actor plans on trying out something new every time he comes on the screen.
