Noted actor Pratap Pothen is no more
Actor and filmmaker Pratap Pothen passed away at the age of 70 this Friday, at his Chennai residence. His most recent on-screen performance was in "CBI 5: The Brain" which was released earlier this year.
Other well-known projects by Pratap include "Thakara", "Chamaram", and "22 Female Kottayam". Before his passing, the actor was working on the upcoming Mohanlal directorial "Barroz: Nidhi Kaakkum Bhootham". His last directorial venture was the 1997 film "Oru Yathramozhi", which starred Mohanlal and Sivaji Ganeshan.
Alongside his work in Malayalam cinema, Pratap was also known for his work in Tamil and Telugu films. The actor won a National Award for directing the 1985 film "Meendum Oru Kaathal Kathai".
