'Ozark' famed Julia Garner might play Madonna in her biopic

Speculations in the media say that Julia Garner will play Madonna in a biopic, which the star is currently working on.

62-year-old Madonna recently followed Garner on Instagram, giving birth to these rumours.

During the Covid lockdown, Madonna had posted many videos of her life as a rockstar, including many photos from the 80's. "When you're stuck in a house with multiple injuries what do you do? Write a screenplay with Diablo Cody about…?", she had written on August 8.

Julia Garner has won an Emmy for her performance in "Ozark" as Ruth Langmore, and is now starring in "Inventing Anna".

Madonna had previously condemned plans for an unauthorised biopic of her life, called "Blonde Ambition"."Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen. Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool," wrote Madonna in 2018. "Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society."

The success of Bohemian Rhapsody" in 2018, based on Queen singer Freddie Mercury, and the Elton John biopic "Rocketman" in 2019, might have finally tipped Madonna in favor of a potential biopic.
