‘Rickshaw Girl’ to premiere in Manhattan

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury's critically acclaimed movie "Rickshaw Girl" is set to premiere at New York's famous theatre "Village East by Angelika" on May 5.

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, Reza, Executive Producer Assaduzzaman Sokal, co-producer Mahjabin Reza, actress Novera Rahman, and Momena Chowdhury, among others, would be present at the event.

Audiences will get the chance to interact with the cast and crew members at the premiere. Movie lovers will also get the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the director

"Rickshaw Girl" is based on Mitali Perkins's best-selling book titled 'Rickshaw Girl.'   The film revolves around the struggles of female rickshaw puller Naima and how she tries to break the norms of society.

'Rickshaw Girl' has won awards in various film festivals, including the Prescott Film Festival in the United States and the SCHLiNGEL International Film Festival in Germany.
