Every stitch told a story at SMUCT Graduation Runway Show

The Department of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT) at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) successfully organised the Graduation Fashion Show of the 44th Batch on 11 July 2026 at 3:30 PM at the BGMEA Complex Auditorium, House #7/7A, Sector #17, Block #H-1, Uttara, Dhaka. Held under the theme "Every Stitch Tells Our Story," the event celebrated the creativity, craftsmanship, technical excellence, and conceptual vision of the graduating fashion designers.

The showcase featured five distinctive thematic collections that reflected the diversity of contemporary fashion and the power of self-expression. ‘The Urban Grace,’ a smart casual wear line, blended comfort and refined elegance inspired by the rhythm of urban living and the poise of the modern woman. ‘Threads of Heritage,’ an ethnic wear collection, paid tribute to Bangladesh's cultural identity through traditional textiles and artisanal craftsmanship reimagined for a contemporary audience. ‘Street Symphony’ brought a bold streetwear sensibility to the runway, drawing on graffiti, architecture, and youth culture to celebrate individuality. ‘Moonlit Elegance’ offered dramatic evening couture inspired by moonlit gardens and haute couture artistry, while ‘Eternal Bloom’ closed the show with a festive and bridal wear collection reimagining South Asian craftsmanship through elegant lehengas, gowns, and statement jackets in a palette of ivory, terracotta, sage green, blush pink, and antique gold. Through innovative designs, thoughtful storytelling, and refined craftsmanship, the graduating students demonstrated their creative abilities and professional readiness for Bangladesh's evolving fashion industry.
