BNP men seek vote for Wadud's nephew in Khagrachhari
Nominees of both Awami League and BNP as well as 'rebel' leaders now contesting as independent candidates, started their formal election campaign with procession in Khagrachhari yesterday.
As district Jubo Dal Vice President Md Daudul Islam Bhuiyan, also the nephew of former BNP lawmaker convicted Wadud Bhuiyan, inaugurated his election campaign, most of district BNP leaders joined it although BNP central committee nominated Samiron Dewan as the party candidate for the constituency.
Meanwhile, Samiron Dewan also led a procession yesterday evening and started his election campaign with mass people.
Rebel candidate from Awami League, Zahedul Alam pledged a 17-point election manifesto to the people as he led a procession participated by over a thousand people.
