On March 12, “Elephant in the Room”, an award-winning art installation by renowned Bangladeshi visual artist Kamruzzaman Shadhin, was launched at the Dubai Design District (D3), organised by Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation, which works to promote South Asian art internationally in association with Art Dubai. D3 is a hub of inspiration for creatives, artists, and designers. It will exhibit this participatory artwork in its walkaways for a month-long display till April 12, 2021.

The first session began with Hon'ble Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa addressing the gathering as the guest of honour, at the function presided over by Bangladesh’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey V Lavrov presented a video congratulatory message on the day.

Renowned singer and actor Tahsan Khan’s first book, “Onubhutir Obhidhan” will be hitting the Ekushey Boi Mela soon. Published by Addhayan Prokashoni, the book features anecdotes from the ariste’s own life. “I have penned down my musings and perspectives, on my own terms, in this book,” said Tahsan.
