Having been a part of numerous hit films in the span of her career, Aruna Biswas is a celebrated name in the world of cinema. Apart from acting in films and tele-fictions, Aruna has also directed television shows and commercials. On a candid chat with The Daily Star, the actor talks about her recent projects.

Popular actors Pori Moni and Siam Ahmed’s film, “Bishwoshundori” was theatrically released last December. The film, directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, is set to have its television premiere on Maasranga Television tonight at 7 pm. In addition, it will be rebroadcast on the same channel tomorrow (Saturday).

The much-anticipated film adaptation of the popular novel “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, is set to start production in Morocco this September. The first namaz-e-janaza of eminent folk singer Fakir Alamgir was held this morning in the Pallima Sangsad premises in Khilgaon, Dhaka. Later, the mortal remains of the singer were taken to the Central Shaheed Minar.  

EMK Center’s virtual duet exhibition, “Mirror of Society” features works of young artists Shaily Shrabonti and Sheikh Farhana Parvin Tumpa. The 60 artworks on display at the exhibition highlight different aspects of society.
