ICCB arranges workshop on legal and compliance issues

The International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh (ICCB) organised a daylong workshop on “Legal and Compliance Perspectives under Documentary Credits” at a hotel in Dhaka on Saturday.

A total of 57 participants from 18 banks operating across the capital attended the workshop.

Muhammad A (Rumee) Ali, chairman of the ICCB Banking Commission, inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest, according to a press release.

He later distributed certificates among the participants at the closing session of the workshop.

ATM Nesarul Hoque, executive vice-president of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, conducted the closing session as a resource person.

Ataur Rahman, secretary general of ICCB; Shah Md Ahsan Habib, a professor at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management; and Ajay B Saha, general manager of ICCB, among others, were also present at the workshop.
