NCC Bank signs MoU with Akij Resource on cash management

NCC Bank PLC recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Akij Resource Group, one of the country’s leading industrial conglomerates, to strengthen cash management services.

Under the agreement, NCC Bank will provide safe, technology-driven, and modern collection services for Akij Resource Group’s dealers and distributors across the country.

Md Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director of the bank, and Md Ruhul Islam, representative director and company secretary of Akij Resource Group, signed the MoU in Dhaka, according to a press release.

Speaking at the event, M Shamsul Arefin, managing director of NCC Bank, said the MoU reflects the bank’s commitment to expanding advanced transaction and cash management services for its corporate clients.

He expressed hope that the partnership would make Akij Resource Group’s collection management more transparent, faster, and more secure while enabling it to fully benefit from digital banking.

He also said the initiative would further strengthen both organisations’ efforts to deliver innovative, technology-driven services and play a significant role in advancing the country’s digital financial sector.

Under the arrangement, dealers will be able to deposit funds through multiple channels, including cash or cheque deposits at any NCC Bank branch, instant transactions via the “NCC Always” app, individual Virtual Account Number (VAN) facilities, and real-time payment notifications integrated with the ERP system.

Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, senior vice-president and head of SME at the bank; Md Sajjadul Islam, senior vice-president and head of the ICT division; and Shahin Akter Nuha, senior vice-president and head of the transaction banking and cash management division, attended the event. Md Sheikh Sadi, chief treasury officer of Akij Resource Group; Mohammad Atik, deputy manager (treasury); and Mohammad Asaduzzaman, assistant manager, along with senior officials from both organisations, were also present.
