Premier Bank organises half-yearly business conference

Premier Bank PLC yesterday organised its Half-Yearly Business Conference 2026 at Fortis Downtown Resort in Dhaka.

Arifur Rahman, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest, according to a press release.

In his inaugural address, Rahman emphasised leveraging the bank’s strengths, maintaining zero tolerance for corruption and irregularities, and prioritising the protection of depositors’ funds.

He urged all employees to work together with unity and dedication to uphold this responsibility.

Syed Faridul Islam, director and chairman of the executive committee of the bank; Md Sazzad Hossain, director and chairman of the risk management committee; and M Nurul Alam, director and chairman of Premier Bank Securities Limited, attended the conference.

In his welcome address, Md Monzur Mofiz, managing director of the bank, outlined its strategic priorities, emphasising deposit mobilisation, successful implementation of deposit campaigns, addressing business gaps, ensuring sustainable profitability, and enhancing the operational effectiveness of every branch.

Islam, Hossain and Alam also addressed the conference, highlighting the importance of working together as one team to achieve the bank’s overall goals. They emphasised that team spirit, mutual cooperation, and collective efforts are key drivers of sustainable growth and long-term success.

During the conference, members of the senior management team delivered presentations on several key business areas, including deposit mobilisation, recovery performance, Bangla QR, and agent banking.

The presentations highlighted the bank’s strategic initiatives, business progress, and future action plans.

The conference also recognised outstanding business achievements by awarding seven branches commemorative crests for their exceptional performance.

Members of the senior management team, branch managers, and officials from the head office and branches were also present.
