Prime Bank holds entrepreneurship development training in Natore

Prime Bank PLC recently held its month-long training, titled “Entrepreneurship Development Programme” in Natore, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial skills, enhancing business capacity, fostering innovation and improving industry competitiveness.

A total of 25 aspiring entrepreneurs took part in the comprehensive training, which equipped them with practical knowledge and essential business competencies to support sustainable enterprise development, according to a press release.

Md Ayub Ali, joint director of the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank and deputy programme director of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), attended the event as the chief guest.

He emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship development in driving economic growth and highlighted the role of collaborative initiatives such as SICIP in creating a more competitive and innovative business ecosystem.

Md Abdul Halim, senior vice-president and regional head of Prime Bank PLC, presided over the training programme.

Held under the SICIP, the programme was funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance with support from the SMESPD of the central bank.

Through initiatives such as the Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme, Prime Bank PLC continues to contribute to the development of Bangladesh’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting capacity building, innovation and inclusive economic growth.

Shaikh Nur Alam, head of business and refinance at Prime Bank PLC, attended the ceremony as a special guest.

He reaffirmed Prime Bank’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs by providing continuous support through dedicated financial solutions, refinancing facilities and tailored banking services for small businesses.
