Prime Bank launches entrepreneurship development programme in Natore
Prime Bank PLC has inaugurated a month-long entrepreneurship development programme in Natore to enhance the capacity of small and medium entrepreneurs and promote inclusive economic growth.
A total of 25 promising young entrepreneurs from the Natore region are participating in the programme, according to a press release.
Through this initiative, they are expected to strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities, improve business sustainability, and enhance their competitiveness in the market.
Md Masum Billah, programme director and additional director of Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
The training programme is being conducted under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) project with the support of the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.
The programme aims to equip participating entrepreneurs with essential knowledge and practical skills in business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, bookkeeping, banking services, digital financial transactions, and overall business management.
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be better positioned to access formal banking services, expand their businesses, and contribute to sustainable economic development.
Md Abdul Halim, regional head of Prime Bank PLC, presided over the programme.
Prime Bank PLC remains committed to fostering entrepreneurship, promoting financial inclusion, and supporting the growth of the country’s SME sector through strategic partnerships and capacity-building initiatives, the release added.
Mohammad Wasim, joint director and deputy programme director (SICIP) of Bangladesh Bank, Shaikh Nur Alam, head of business and refinance at Prime Bank PLC, and other senior officials of the bank and participating organisations were also present at the ceremony.
