Hunt Theatre to stage new play ‘Tobuo Prem Ashe’
Following the warm response to its debut production, “Café de Volte”, Hunt Theatre is set to return with its latest production, “Tobuo Prem Ashe”.
The play will be staged tomorrow (October 7) at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, with two shows scheduled at 6:00pm and 7:30pm.
“Tobuo Prem Ashe” explores love and the relationship between two mature individuals who become each other’s comfort, refuge and source of trust. Moving beyond conventional expectations and calculations surrounding love, the play presents love as a natural and integral part of everyday life.
The cast features Sarah Jabin Aditi, Supti Das Chaity, Diana Meriline, Neon Ahsan, Saim Bin Mujib and Jerome Progga Modhu.
Diana Meriline has written and directed the play, with Shafee Bin Kabir adapting it for the stage.
Md Mokhlesur Rahman is responsible for lighting design, while Chirls Neloy Chowdhury handles sound and music. Annesha Biswas Agni has choreographed the production.
Maliha Fairuz Farin Melissa and Supriya Ghosh have worked on the set and props, while Rahmat is responsible for costumes. Sarah Jabin Aditi and Shubhashish Haldar have handled the poster and digital archive.
The production also features vocals by Sumel Chowdhury, Sajjad Kabir and Reshmi Chakma.
