One of showbiz’s most sought-after stars, Afran Nisho took home the Best Actor in Negative Role award at the Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2021. The actor won the award for his stellar performance in the Chorki web-series “Morichika”.

Today, Bangabandhu International Convention Centre filled up with celebrities, influencers and artistes to celebrate the Blender’s Choice - The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2021—felicitating the best OTT and digital content from July 2020 to December 2021.

"Dhaka Attack" famed director, Dipanakar Dipon's second feature film, "Operation Sundarban", will hit theatres on September 23. The first song from the film, which is titled "E Mon Bhije Jay", will be released today at 7 pm via a live telecast on Facebook, where the film’s crew will be present.

This week, it added the Bengali dubbed version of “Bandhobi”, a 2009 South Korean independent film, which stars Bangladeshi actor Mahbub Alam. “Bandhobi” is written and directed by indie darling, Dong-il Shin, and showcases an unusual friendship between a rebellious teenage girl and a migrant worker in Korea. 

Superstar Shakib Khan’s production, “Maya”, received a government grant in the financial year of 2021-22. The film, which will star Puja Chery alongside the ‘King of Dhallywood’, will be directed by Himel Ashraf—who will also be directing another production featuring the actor, which is titled “Rajkumar”.
