Superstar Shakib Khan’s production, “Maya”, received a government grant in the financial year of 2021-22. The film, which will star Puja Chery alongside the ‘King of Dhallywood’, will be directed by Himel Ashraf—who will also be directing another production featuring the actor, which is titled “Rajkumar”.

On August 17, the Wildlife Crime Control Unit of the Forest Department filed a case against Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, the director of “Hawa”, for violating the Wildlife Conservation and Security Act of 2012. Bollywood megastar Ranveer Singh was grilled by police on Monday (Aug 29) on charges of "obscenity" after posting naked photos of himself, in a case highlighting India's complex relationship with nudity.
