Jessia and Alisha to star in ‘Mr-9’
Miss World Bangladesh (2017), Jessia Islam, and the first runner-up of Miss Universe Bangladesh (2019), Alisha Islam is set to star as Bangladesh Counter intelligence Agency (BCI) spies in the upcoming Masud Rana movie, "MR-9".
Directed by Bangladeshi-born Hollywood director Asif Akbar, "MR-9" is being jointly produced by Bangladeshi production company Jaaz Multimedia and LA-based Al Bravo Films.
The film has already wrapped up shooting in the US, with the next phase of shootings starting in Bangladesh. The "MR-9" team started shooting from June 24 to 29 in various locations in the country. Both Jessia and Alisha started shooting for their parts last Friday.
Model Jessia Islam will be playing the role of Rupa, an agent of BCI, in the movie. This will also be the actress's silver screen debut.
Alisha Islam will also be playing the role of a BCI agent, Nabonita, in the film. Both Alisha and Jessia have been training for their roles, particularly for the fight sequences in the movie.
The screenplay for the movie has been developed by Abdul Aziz, chairperson of Jaaz Multimedia, along with director Asif Akbar, and contemporary thriller writer Nazim Ud Daula.
