There is a lot of debate regarding my character in 'Jhora Palok' : Jaya Ahsan

Jaya Ahsan and Bratya Basu starrer "Jhora Palok" is all set to be released on June 24. The actress plays the role of as Labonno, wife of eminent poet Jibananda Das, in the movie.

Recently, the cast and crew arranged a special press event where they discussed the movie.

"There are many twists and turns in my character in the movie. Labonno, gave him the courage and ignited within him the fire to pursue his goals. Her love for the poet is visible throughout the film," said Jaya Ahsan.

"There is a lot of debate about my character. The reason I chose this film is because I truly wanted to enact the role of Labonno Prabha Das and biopic of Jibananda Das," added the actress.

"The director has beautifully weaved the inner conflict, sorrow, and emotion of Jibananda Das on the silver screen. The movie beautifully depicts how the people around him encouraged him to follow his dreams. The poetry of Jibananda Das inspires me and I really hope that the audiences will love my character," mentioned Jaya Ahsan.

Bratya Basu and Rahul Banerjee will portray the renowned poet at different points in his life. The film will focus on the post-Tagore era in India.
