Veteran actor Raimohan Parida found dead, suicide suspected
Renowned for his negative roles in Bengali movies, Raimohan Parida was found dead at his residence earlier today. Parida had acted in over 100 Odia films and 15 Bengali movies.
The veteran Odia film and theatre actor, Raimohan Parida was found dead at his residence in Prachi Vihar, Bhubaneswar today, according to the police.
He died at the age of 58. Parida is survived by his wife and two daughters. His family members found him dead in the morning. Based on the initial report, police suspect that it is a case of suicide, with further investigation underway. The boy will soon be sent for a post-mortem examination. Many actors visited Parida's residence to pay tribute and express their condolences for the veteran actor.
Parida's neighbours stated that they had last seen him on Thursday, and that he appeared to be going about as usual. They also mentioned that Parida had a good relationship with everyone.
A native of the Keonjhar district, Parida had acted in several superhit movies, including "Rama Laxman", "Aasibu Kebe Saji Mo Rani", "Naga Panchami", "Tu Thile Mo Dara Kahaku", "Rana Bhumi", and "Singha Bahini" among others.
