BRAC Bank declares 30% dividend for 2025
BRAC Bank PLC has announced a 30 percent dividend, including a 15 percent cash dividend, for 2025.
The announcement came at the bank’s 27th annual general meeting (AGM), which was held virtually recently, according to a press release.
Meheriar M Hasan, chairperson of the bank, presided over the meeting as chief guest.
In his remarks, he highlighted the bank’s outstanding financial performance despite macroeconomic challenges. A key highlight of 2025 was the 29 percent growth in customer deposits and the 17 percent growth in loans and advances on a standalone basis.
He thanked shareholders, customers, regulators and stakeholders for their continuous support and trust and expressed optimism that the bank would achieve even greater growth in 2026 and beyond.
Faruq Mayeenuddin Ahmed, vice-chairperson of the bank; Salek Ahmed Abul Masrur, Anita Ghazi Rahman, Chowdhury MAQ Sarwar and Lila Rashid, directors, attended the AGM.
A significant number of shareholders joined the AGM from across the country.
They were informed that the bank registered a net profit after tax (NPAT) of Tk 2,251 crore in 2025 on a consolidated basis, representing a year-on-year growth of 57 percent.
On a standalone basis, NPAT stood at Tk 1,581 crore, an increase of 30 percent from Tk 1,214 crore in 2024.
Earnings per share (EPS) increased to Tk 9.12 on a consolidated basis in 2025 from Tk 6.18 in 2024.
The bank’s consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share increased to Tk 51.56 in 2025 from Tk 39.38 in the previous year.
Net operating cash flow per share on a consolidated basis increased to Tk 72.72 in 2025 from Tk 54.14 in 2024.
Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, and M Mahbubur Rahman, company secretary, along with other senior officials, were also present.
