A new Bangladeshi film exploring the realities of university hall culture and student politics is gearing up for release this Eid-ul-Azha. Director Akash Haque recently unveiled the trailer for “The University of Chankharpul” and announced plans to bring the film to theatres during the festive season.

Fans of classic Bangla cinema will have the opportunity to watch “Tomake Chai” on the big screen free of charge later this month.

Directed by Nurul Alam Atique, the film received the award in the Best Feature Film on Social Issues category, adding another international recognition to Bangladeshi cinema.

The award was announced ahead of the poet’s 127th birth anniversary celebrations, scheduled to be held at Bangla Academy on May 23.

These dramas will be aired from the day before Eid until the seventh day of Eid, at 7:50 pm and 9:35 pm each night.
