A total of six Bangladeshi films have been selected for this year’s festival. “Agontuk”, “Noya Manush”, and "Uraal” will be screened at the cinema, with “Noya Manush” scheduled for the second day and “Uraal” for the fourth. Additionally, three Bangladeshi titles — “Noya Note”, “The University of Chankharpul”, and “Pathor Howar Golpo”— will be available on the festival’s online platform.

It follows the journey of a man who returns to Bangladesh after 12 years abroad, accompanied by his eight-year-old son. The child, raised in a foreign environment, experiences his father’s homeland for the first time, discovering its culture, people, and emotional landscape through a fresh and unfamiliar perspective.

Those associated with the project are optimistic that this stylistic parting will resonate with audiences. With Mahtim Shakib’s vocals, Sahriar Rafat’s composition, and Hashibur Reza Kallol’s lyrics, the song is expected to offer listeners a fresh and compelling musical experience upon its release. The release date is yet to be announced.

The Faculty of Fine Arts at Dhaka University marked the 80th birth anniversary of Professor Matlub Ali on the evening of April 26 with an exhibition of his paintings, live musical performances, and a tribute discussion.

Irfan Sajjad plays Fahad, while Khairul Basar portrays his brother Samir. In a dramatic twist, Samir marries Fahad’s former love, Mehreen, played by Keya Payel. Fahad’s wife Sayra is portrayed by Sunerah Binte Kamal.
